Unofficial · Uncompressed · Unnecessary

We make games bigger.

Somewhere out there, someone is heroically squeezing a 90 GB game down to 30. Genuinely good work. I go the other way: I put things into games that nobody asked for and then make them larger. Call it decompression therapy.

Free, no adverts, no torrents and no games. Just the silly bits that go on top.

One mod so far. In fairness, it's a big one.

Big Monster Energy mod icon: a white Monster Energy can

Big Monster Energy

v1.0.0 Feature complete

For PEAK Updated 16 August 2026 Needs BepInEx

A colossal Monster can hums to itself somewhere up the mountain — this climb is giving big monster energy. Follow the noise, hold to drink, and ascend beyond your sleep schedule. A rare pair hide on every run.

Unpack features

  • 0% lossless, MD5 imperfect. Your game is measurably larger than when you found it, and that is the entire point.
  • Nothing ripped, nothing re-encoded. One enormous can added, then a second one for good measure.
  • Selective download. There are two cans per run and you are welcome to only ever find one of them.
  • Find it by ear. Each can hums a looping track that swells as you get closer. No map marker, no waypoint.
  • Haul it, shake it, drink it. Real physics, co-op carrying, and a shaken can erupts and launches everyone nearby off the mountain.
  • A sip cures whatever's wrong with you — curses included. The comedown afterwards is brutal.
  • After-install integrity check. Drink twice in quick succession and see whether you're still standing.
What changed in 1.0.0

1.0.0 — Prescription Strength · 16 August 2026

  • A sip is a cure-all. Injuries, poison, cold, hunger, spores — gone the moment you drink, on top of the usual sugar rush. Every sip gets its own, so one can is worth two of them.
  • It'll even lift a curse. Something the usual remedies won't go near. There's a config switch if you'd rather curses stayed put.
  • The comedown has teeth. Once the buzz fades, sleep creeps over you and takes half your stamina with it.
  • Carry it in peace. The first time anyone picks a can up, its music stops for good. The other can keeps singing away.

0.6.0 — Shaken, Not Stirred · 13 August 2026

  • Shake to prime. Whip a can around as you carry it and an on-screen bomb meter fills as the fizz builds.
  • Big risk, big reward. A primed can erupts on a short fuse and flings everyone nearby skyward. Which side you stand on decides where you fly.

0.5.0 — The Carry-On Update · July 2026

  • Grab and haul. Cans became real physical objects you can lift, tip, seesaw and drop — with co-op hauling and full multiplayer sync.

1.0 is everything I set out to build, so from here it's bug fixes only.

Where to get it

Nothing is hosted on this site — Thunderstore does the serving, and r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager will pull it down, bring BepInEx with it and keep the whole lot updated. Downloading by hand works too; the button above has that covered.

Nothing to do with Monster Energy. Nobody is sponsoring a man who hides drinks in a video game — it's a joke about a can, made by someone who buys far too many of them.

Installing

Unboxing day

Three steps. No 40-minute extraction, no progress bar with its own soundtrack.

1

Get a mod manager

Grab r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager and point it at your game. It handles BepInEx for you, which is what these mods run on.

2

Install the mod

Search the listing, hit install, launch through the manager. Doing it by hand? Drop the DLL in BepInEx/plugins and get on with your evening.

3

Go and find it

Settings live in the manager's config editor if you like a fiddle. Otherwise just launch the game and go looking. You'll know it when you see it.

The roadmap, such as it is

Mods land here in whatever state they're in: finished, half-built, or quietly parked. Each card says which.

No schedule, no release window, no quarterly targets. Things get built when an idea grabs me and fixed when something breaks. This is a hobby that got a domain name.

Questions

Your questions, unpacked.

Is any of this pirated?

No. No games, no cracks, no torrents — only mods, which are free add-ons that do nothing at all without the real game underneath. Buy the game, then come back and make it worse.

Are you FitGirl?

No. Different build, different hobby, no connection whatsoever. She takes something enormous and makes it manageable. I take something finished and add weight to it. Only one of us is providing a public service.

Why "unpacks"?

Repacking makes a game smaller, so unpacking seemed like the honest word for making it bigger. It's also what happens to a family bag of crisps in this house, so the name earns its keep twice over.

What do I need to run these?

The game, and a mod loader — BepInEx in every case so far — which the manager installs for you. No account, no launcher, no subscription, no newsletter. Truly nothing to unsubscribe from.

It's broken. Can you fix it?

Very probably, and I'd like to. Email oi@fatguy-unpacks.site with what happened and I'll have a dig. I've broken everything here at least twice myself, so you're in excellent company.

Can I request a mod?

Always welcome, same address. Whether it happens comes down to how funny the idea is against how many evenings it costs. The funny bit does most of the lifting.
